IWitness |
There is strong evidence to suggest that people of faith lead longer, happier, healthier lives. The Christian life does not provide immunity from adversity, but faith in God does offer clearly defined advantages. There are three radio programs that grow out of the IWitness series. They include, Safe Harbor, a look at how Christian people use faith as a resource in adversity; Touched By God, an examination of the impact the teachings of Jesus Christ can have on troubled lives; and finally, A Life Well Lived, tells the stories of Christian people in service to others. Radio Explorer |
Many people adhere to the misconception that Christian people practice a "blind" faith, a belief supported by little or no real evidence. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is strong evidence to support the Christian contention that God exists, that He is our Creator, that He is a loving and merciful Father, that Jesus Christ is God-made-flesh, that God's Spirit is at work in the world, and that the Bible is God's message to mankind. The "Explorer" series investigates this evidence through three radio series. They include, The Creator's Hand, evidence of God as seen in the universe; Vital Signs, evidence of God as found in the workings of the human body; and All God's Creatures, evidence of God made apparent through the animal kingdom. American Idioms A to Z |
English has long been the world's second language. It is the language of diplomacy, business, travel, entertainment and science. Millions of people worldwide are deeply involved in learning this simple, but always evolving language. Veteran KNLS broadcaster Marcy Bryan joins us each day to share with you an American idiom. Marcy discusses the origin of the idiom, defines the expression's meaning, and provides an example of how it might be used in conversation. Hymns of Praise |
The Christian faith has a rich tradition of worship and praise through song. The earliest Christians sang portions of scripture almost exclusively. The Psalms, found in the Old Testament portion of the Bible, were especially popular. In more recent centuries, Christian hymnology has grown to encompass the musical genres and worship styles of hundreds of cultures. The New Life Station's Executive Producer, Dale Ward, visits studio "B" each day to introduce another hymn. Dale may describe what inspired the author, relate a bit of the song's history, comment on the score, or define some of the more obscure lyrics.

KNLS Mailbag |
The New Life Station is always pleased to receive letters, requests and reception reports from you, our listening friends. Each day we open the KNLS Mailbag and share a listener letter over the air. Please take time to write soon and give us your evaluation of our programs. You are also welcome to ask any faith questions you might have, order one of the free items we offer, submit a report concerning reception conditions in your part of the world. The English Service staff is quite small, so be patient for our response. Who knows! We might just read your letter on the air.
